LA JETEE
directed by Chris Marker
1962
27 MINS, Color
This renowned science-fiction short by French filmmaker Chris Marker (SANS SOLEIL) is widely regarded as one of world cinema's avant-garde masterpieces. A "photo-novel" told almost entirely in still images, LA JETEE relates a time-travel story in which a survivor from a ruined future returns to the past to circumvent a world catastrophe. (The story was later adapted by Terry Gilliam for his film TWELVE MONKEYS.) Hailed as everything from a meditation on the power of images and the most poetic film ever made to a precursor of modern cyberpunk. TVPG (AC) Stereo/BW/Letterbox

Planet of the Apes(Charleton Heston Version)
12 Monkeys
Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
*28 Days Later (I consider it "Apocalyptic")
*Tank Girl(that one is just funny)
